Fun Time Nursery, is a modern city day nursery offering state of the art childcare Located at the centre of several districts of Derby, including Littleover, Mickleover, Normanton, Sunny Hill, Pear Tree and Osmaston, we are able to cater for children aged between 24 months and 5 years old. Our facilities include themed rooms, play areas and a garden area with a log cabin and activity centre.

Outdoor play has always been an important part of a child's development, however in the modern world our children experience fewer and fewer opportunities to explore nature, run, roll, climb, and swing. We, at Fun Time Nursery understand the importance of outdoor play in its role to allow children to be children and to promote different kinds of play, such as Physical play; Constructive play; Social play; Sociodramatic play and Games with Rules.
Fun Time Nursery has a new soft playroom that children may access during their sessions at the nursery. A limited number of children are allowed to play in the area with their keyworkers. Children learn two types of motor development: gross motor development and fine motor development. Gross motor and fine motor development involve learning delicate tasks, such as balancing or moving small things with their hands.
Fun Time Nursery's pre-school room, also known as the Sunshines room, will prepare your child for school by encouraging their development in all 7 areas of learning, through the use of Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Fun Time Nursery always encourages a positive and educational experience for your child, this will be achieved through a daily routine which will include yoga to help children improve their emotional health and creativity skills.The Sunshines room also incorporates a literacy area, in which your child will be introduced to phonics and will be encouraged to learn to write their names by using individual name cards.
