Services
At Greenleas Primary School every child matters. We want our children to be confident, motivated and independent learners who have respect for others. Our rich curriculum is the means of a high quality education, providing all with good opportunities for enjoyment and achievement. It is our aim at Greenleas, through the teaching of History, to stimulate the children's interest and understanding about the life of people who lived in the past.
Whilst homework is not compulsory in Key Stage 1, we would encourage you to support your child in completing any homework sent home. The homework sent home is further practice of the objectives taught during the week in your child's lessons. Homework will be issued weekly for Maths and Phonics and will be sent out on a Thursday.
There are currently two classes in F2: 22 children in Penguin Class and 22 children in Duckling Class. Both classes share our Outdoor Classroom. All areas of learning are taught within classes and the children are encouraged to learn through play and experience. As well as topic webs which are a more detailed insight into what we are learning.
The governors and staff of Greenleas Primary School work together to provide high quality care and education for all our children. We strive for high achievement in all that we do. We want our children to be confident, motivated, independent learners with a healthy self-image and respect for others.
The Pupil Premium will be used to provide additional academic and/or emotional and social support to improve the progress and to raise the standard of achievement for these pupils. The funding will be used to close the gap between the achievement of these pupils and their peers. The school will use the additional funding to attempt to address any inequalities between children eligible for Pupils Premium and others.
