We are a small animal and exotics practice in Tarporley, near Chester, first established in 1994. We are passionate about animal care and our skilled team of veterinarians and vet nurses are dedicated to providing the highest quality care for your animals. Because we love animals and strive to provide excellent continuity of care, we are open six days a week and have access to 24-hour emergency care.

Our friendly team of veterinary surgeons, veterinary nurses and receptionists welcome all pets - we aim to ensure animals and their owners feel comfortable from the moment they walk through the door. We are recognised as one of the best equipped surgeries in the country for treating raptors, parrots, cage and aviary birds, waterfowl, reptiles, rabbits, tortoises, exotic small mammals, zoo and wildlife.
Here at Birch Heath Veterinary Clinic, we are proud of our international reputation for the diagnosis and treatment of domestic and exotic pets. This has only been possible due to the quality of our dedicated veterinary and nursing staff working in our friendly practice. We are all passionate about animals and their well-being, from our veterinary surgeons and qualified nurses to our essential support staff.
Our team of highly dedicated and experienced veterinary surgeons and vet nurses are devoted to your pet's wellbeing. We are passionate about animal care. We all have our own pets and work hard to provide the same service to you that we would want for our own much-loved animals. At our surgery we provide continuity of care, working with you to provide effective and high quality treatment.
In the event of an emergency during our normal opening hours please call our surgery on 01829 733777 and you will be advised what to do next. MiNightVet Chester is our preferred emergency services partner. They are a dedicated emergency service with full-time night staff who will be alert and effective even at unsociable hours.

My Bun Samuel is a regular here, he is a 12 year old rescue and has had many health issues in his time. I couldn't speak highly enough of each and every vet/staff member here. Samuel is still going strong and is comfortable in his old age due to the care this vets has provided him (and me!) throughout his years. We've had tears, laughter and everything in between and the vets always show compassion, professionalism and are amazing at what they do - even in the middle of a pandemic.
