Services
Newbuildings Primary School opened in 1955 with 55 pupils on the roll. Eighteen new houses had been built in Foyle Crescent and children from these houses together with others from Rossnagalliagh and Magheramason made up the first enrolment numbers in the new school.
The school consisted of two classrooms (one of which was divided into the dining room by a sliding wooden partition), toilets, cloakrooms and a principal's office which was very small. The kitchen was attached to the dining room and had a serving hatch in the back wall. This made it very noisy for teachers and pupils when pots and pans were being washed.

All children in P5, 6 and 7 have been sent individual codes in Term 1. If for some reason you need a copy of this, please inform the class teacher and we will send a replacement to you. We are working hard this year to make sure that our library is completed and accessible by everyone in our school community very soon.
Our After School Club operates every day from 2:00pm to 4:45pm in the mobile classroom at the back of our school. Mrs Nicholl looks after the children and always has lots of varied activities ready for the children to enjoy. The programme changes every week. If you wish to avail of the service, please send in a note to your child's class teacher informing them that you would like your child to stay that day.
We want to work hard in class and achieve our best, but we also want to have a fun place to do that. Hi Mr Baldrick, I'm sad that I have to leave primary school, but I know that I will still see all my friends.
Technology plays a big part in all our lives and new technology is coming out all the time. One of the most important things to do is to talk to your child. You need to know the Apps and websites that your child might be accessing and together identify the potential dangers involved as well as the benefits.
