Our school is housed in a beautiful old building just off Bishop Street. It is equipped to very high standards and a warm, homely atmosphere pervades the building. Parents also benefit from our easily accessible drop-off area which is located along Foyle Road/Moat Street. We provide a 'Wrap Around' service, including Breakfast club from 8.30am and After School Provision until 4.55pm, which is particularly useful for working parents.
Our staff of ten teachers, eighteen classroom assistants, five lunch supervisors, four cleaners, caretaker and secretary are committed to making Nazareth House Primary and Nursery School a very welcoming and industrious place. Services
The ethos of our school is focused on the Holy Family of Nazareth. The child Jesus was the centre of that family; our children are the centre of our school. Nazareth, past and present, is founded on the word of God and prayer. From these foundation stones we strive to provide a happy atmosphere of caring and sharing, as proclaimed in the motto of our school.
We have started a Junior library club as we have our beautiful Key Stage 1 (P1 - P3) library looking so well. This club will also run on Monday and Wednesday from 2.30 - 3.30pm The younger children just love the new library! Our Resilience Club runs on Tuesdays from 3.00pm - 5.00pm This is a fantastic club which encourages a healthy lifestyle.
