The John Moore Primary School is a wonderful primary school located on the Walton Cardiff development just outside the picturesque, medieval town of Tewkesbury. Our modern building offers a wide range of facilities. We have two lovely Reception classrooms with their own outdoor spaces allowing for independent learning, a further nine classrooms, a large hall, library, Sparkle hub and mobile music and ICT facilities.
We are fortunate to have a large outside space which includes a playing field, trim trail, Forest School, pond and quiet courtyard area. We are extremely proud of our academic, sporting, and creative achievements and our underpinning focus on well-being. Our whole staff team work together to always put our children first and to enrich their lives, giving them a sound foundation on which to build their future.

Thank you for taking a look at our school website. If you are a parent /carer, we hope that you will find it informative and useful and will use it as reference point. The website is no substitute for a visit however, so please do come and see us! When your child joins our school, their welfare is our main concern.
Rusty belongs to Mrs Laing. He is extremely well-behaved and is very loving and gentle. Rusty visits school once a week and the children really look forward to seeing him. Rusty is on a lead at all times when moving around the school site and is always accompanied by an adult. His presence has been fully risk assessed.
We have worked with our children, our staff, our parents and our whole school community to create our shared vision and values. Our 4S's of Soar, Share, Strive and Sparkle are an essential part of our daily school life and are used to frame our focus with our children. They are embedded in our school day, are a driver for our excellent behaviours and are celebrated in our daily practice.
The John Moore Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share the same commitment. Any positions advertised are subject to enhanced DBS checks. Any offer of employment made to a successful candidate, including one who has lived or worked abroad, will be conditional on satisfactory completion of the necessary pre-employment checks.
The DfE have recently reinforced the need 'to create and enforce a clear and rigorous expectation on all schools to promote the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.' The Government set out its definition of British values in the 2011 Prevent Strategy, and these have been reiterated in 2014.
