Ashchurch Primary School

Ashcurch Primary School has been serving the local community in Ashchurch since 1842. The original building is still in use today. As the school has grown, two additional mobile classrooms were added to accommodate children in KS2. In 2004, an building project took place which saw the extension of the old building to include two KS1 classrooms, a cloakroom, toilet block and group working space.

Ashchurch Primary School is committed to providing the very best possible education for all of its pupils within a stimulating, happy and secure environment. We envisage a school where children fulfil their full potential through high quality teaching and learning, high expectation and a broad, balanced and personalised curriculum.

Parents are responsible for making sure their children attend school regularly and on time. Only a school can authorise an absence. If your child is ill or cannot go to school for some reason, you need to contact the school by telephone/email/letter tell them. The school will then decide whether to authorise the absence.

The Pupil Premium is additional funding given to schools to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and to close the attainment gap between them and their peers. If you think you may be eligible for FSM due to low family income or being in receipt of certain benefits, you can apply online via Gloucestershire County Council.

At Ashchurch Primary School we recognise that some of the children in our care have additional needs which will require us to adapt and personalise what we offer to ensure that all children can achieve to their full potential. We are very proud of our wonderful teaching assistants, talented teachers and qualified SENDCo who enable us to meet the needs of all pupils.
