Gardners Lane Primary school is a happy, lively school with strong links in the community. The school has established partnerships with the University of Gloucestershire, Gloucestershire College, Cheltenham Ladies College, CCP, which provides our pupils with a wealth of opportunities to enhance their curriculum entitlement especially in Sports and the Arts.

Gardners Lane also works closely with its partner school, Oakwood Primary School, under the leadership of Executive Head Teacher, Charles Welsh. Our aim is to work with you, as stake holders, to share your ambitions for your children and your knowledge of them. This will enable us to make sure that together we can celebrate their achievements.

History fires pupils' curiosity about the past in Britain and the wider world. Children will learn about different civilisation, time and places. Children consider how the past influences the present, what past societies were like, how these societies organised their politics, and what beliefs and cultures influenced people's actions.
Gardners Lane aims to promote a sense of pride and belonging to our school and the local community. We aspire to create a safe environment where children achieve their full potential in all aspects of their development and learning. We aim to create a learning environment which is stimulating and challenging, inclusive and enjoyable.
Our classrooms are colourful and engaging, equipped with computers, interactive whiteboard and flip charts. Classrooms are well resourced and are a fun and stimulating place to learn. We have recently re-housed the school library in the corridor in the new part of Gardners Lane. It is filled with a range of exciting new books for children to enjoy and is a wonderful place to curl up with a story, or learn some interesting new facts!
All of my children have excelled within the school and have left with all the attributes needed and more, preparing them for secondary school. I feel the school has supported all of my children excellently, each with different academic abilities. They have enabled them to all to flourish. My eldest went on to Pates 6th form, then studied Forensic Psychology at Cardiff University.
Collective worship takes place every other day between 9:15-9:30am in our school hall or in classrooms. Our first collective worship of the week introduces the theme for the week and celebrates our singing. Each week we have either a religious or celebratory theme. We are also regularly joined by the 'Open the Book' team, who act out scenes from the bible in a fun and exciting manner.
