We are proud of the Holy Apostles' tradition that is underpinned by the school's Christian ethos and ensures that our pupils are well-behaved; taught to care for themselves and each other; and under the care and guidance of our staff, enabled to achieve high standards in all aspects of their school life.

Services
Holy Apostles' is a Voluntary Aided Church of England Primary School which was provided by Charles Cooke-Higgs in 1873 as part of the Foundation and Endowment of Holy Apostles' Church. Central to the education which we offer is the provision of Christian Religious Education and a daily act of worship for all pupils - in keeping with the school's Church of England Foundation.
Our Christian Values sit side by side with our British Values and the wider curriculum and permeate all aspects of our school life. Our pupils live out these Values in all that they do. Collective Worship takes place daily and contributes significantly towards our pupils' spiritual development.
We understand that time for reflection during Collective Worship and at other times during the day is an essential part of developing our children's spiritual, moral, social, and cultural (SMSC) awareness. The Committee's aims are: (i) to play an active role in planning, leading and evaluating Collective Worship; and (ii) to support the development and distinctiveness of Holy Apostles' as a Church School.

The Department of Education (DfE) directs schools to promote the fundamental British Values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs. Democracy is highly valued at the school. We consider it important that children have opportunities for their voices to be heard.
We aim to provide the best quality of teaching and learning for all the pupils in our care; to ensure that all pupils are happy, motivated, independent learners who are well behaved and show respect and care for others; to be a valued part of the community, noted for academic success and to be recognized as a school which welcomes and includes pupils with a wide range of abilities and skills, all of which support the preparation of our children for life in modern Britain.
These include pupils from low income families and children in care. In 2012-13 it was extended to pupils who had been eligible for FSM during the past six years (the so-called 'ever 6' model). A Service Premium was also introduced for pupils whose parents serve in the Armed Forces to address their emotional and social well-being.
