Yarrells Preparatory School is an independent day school and nursery for boys and girls aged between 2 and 11. Services
During your appointment you will have a tour of the school and grounds, this is a wonderful opportunity to see the school in action, the facilities and meet with staff. You will also meet with our Head, Sally Weber, who will be able to help you make the right decision for your child's education and future.
Our website will be able to give you plenty of information about Yarrells but please contact our Admissions Registrar, Miss Helen Plane, who will be happy to answer any questions and send you a prospectus. The next stage of the admissions process is to arrange a visit to the school. During this time you will have a meeting with our Head, Ms Sally Weber, who will also give you a tour of the school.
If you are working and pay for childcare, your employer may be able to help you with some of your childcare costs. This is often known as employer supported childcare. Your employer may offer you childcare vouchers to help with your childcare costs. They could be in return for a reduction in your pay - known as a 'salary sacrifice'.
Yarrells School is located in the town of Upton, Dorset, which is just a ten minute drive from the centre of Poole and is easily accessed from Bournemouth, Dorchester, Wareham, Wimborne and Blandford Forum. You can get to us on foot, or by car, train and bus and we also run daily minibuses from selected locations in Poole and Bournemouth that your child can use to travel to and from school.
If you are unable to visit the shop you can place your order on their website or phone and they will deliver the purchased uniform to school on a Wednesday. If you have second hand uniform you wish to buy or sell then please join our Facebook Group 'Yarrells Second Hand Uniform'. This allows parents to liaise with each other about uniform to sell or what they need to buy.

Dexter absolutely adores going to school and as some of you witnessed his announcement of how much he loves school! (Sorry about that!)
The biggest special thank you to everyone in the EY team!!
I recently said to him 'Dexter my favourite days of the week are the days I spend with you'.
He replied 'my favourite days of the week are when I go to school!'
He really wouldn't be the confident, independent and caring little boy he is now if it wasnt for each and everyone one of you at yarrells!

We moved from BCS to Yarrells and we are absolutely delighted with the school. The family environment and care the teachers show the children is incredible. The sports facilities and opportunities are fantastic alongside the academic support. It is a distance from where we live but it is absolutely worth it and the minibus service is brilliant. We are thrilled with this school and can honestly say it offers the best start and school environment for our son.
