At The Barn Animal Hospital, your pets health, and wellbeing is our number one priority. If your pet has a veterinary emergency, and it is within our opening hours please call the practice immediately on 01256 329522. We will arrange for your pet to be seen straight away if we deem necessary and will also provide you with any advice of immediate care which can be given.
We hope you never have cause to complain about the standard of service you receive from us, however, should you have a complaint it should be directed in writing to the Practice Manager, all complaints will be carefully investigated. We welcome any comments or feedback you wish to make about any aspect of the services we provide to you, again please contact the Practice Manager.

Unfortunately, just like humans, sometimes our pets will develop cancer. Roughly a quarter to a third of all patients will suffer from cancer at some point in their lifetime. Cancer is the process when cells may grow too fast, fail to get old or die at the right time, invade neighbouring tissue and move to other parts of the body and grow there.
Cardiac problems in dogs and cats are often identified by The Barn during routine consultations here. However, to fully evaluate the underlying disease and to recommend the most up to date and suitable treatment we can offer the services of Andrew Francis BVSC Cert VC DipECVIM-CA (Cardiology) MRCVS European and RCVS recognized Specialist in Veterinary Cardiology, who holds cardiology clinics at our premises.

I can’t recommend the barn highly enough. My Westie ( Zoe) received first class care from all the vets who saved her life when she was brought in a few weeks ago in a very bad way. A massive thank you to James, Shaun and to the amazing lady vet whom I’ve no idea what her name was, the nurses and receptionists.

I've been taking my dog to the Barn for over 10 years and usually very happy but since the 'takeover' service has been 'different'. Not at all happy with today's visit for his annual check. The vet never checked my dogs heart or teeth and never did the all.over checks that have been done in the past. He didn't check over any of my concerns. He did check his ears as I asked him to. Also, the receptionist rolled her eyes when I asked for worming tablets. I should have asked the vet apparently. Never have before. I appreciate Covid has played its part but staff are not as approachable as before. Come

Really positive experience for my rabbits vaccination today. Was able to put the carrier in the cool waiting room rather than leaving her in the car (it was a very hot day). The vet was very attentive and checked her thoroughly and gently. It's hard to find good rabbit friendly vets but the lady we saw was fantastic (unfortunately I can't remember her name)

I have nothing but great things to say about The Barn.
We have 2 kittens that unfortunately have a very rare disease, with a currently as yet unknown cause.
Sandy was the first one to show symptoms back before we knew what was going on. He was admitted for 3 days at The Barn, where we had continuous updates after every test. They guided us through the referral program to a specialist hospital, and even followed up a week later just to ask how our cat was doing.
Sandy and his brother are now back home with us, and The Barn have helped accommodate our every request with the shared care between
