It is our great pleasure to welcome you to Bosley St Mary's CE Primary School and our website. We are proud to be a small school with big ideas. Our school is situated right on the edge of the Peak District and this setting, along with our distinctly Christian ethos, gives Bosley its warm, family appeal.
We are clear that aspiration is at the centre of everything we do and are guided by our school vision statement "Achievement for All in a Caring, Christian Community." We support everyone in our Bosley family, believing that they can and will do their best. We seek engaging, enriching experiences for our children as well as setting high academic standards.

Services
At Bosley St Mary's we are passionate that our children should be curious and inquisitive when it comes to learning about history. History is a subject based on real people and real life events meaning that it is crucial for all our children to have a strong knowledge of the past in order to fully understand their own identity.
We are a mixed Reception and Year 1 Class, and also have pre-school with us. Miss Forbes is our teacher. We have our own, purpose-built building right next door to the main school as well as our own outdoor learning area. Every child has a contact book that we use record reading as well as passing quick messages between home and school.
Our school is a happy family where we encourage each other to shine and be the best that we can be. Our enriching curriculum inspires confident, aspirational pupils to have a love of learning and a passion for serving community. Our Christian values of peace, love and joy create a safe, nurturing space where all are respected, valued and enabled to succeed and flourish in God's love.
Regular, open communication and consultation with parents is vitally important to the school. The Parent Forum provides a valuable way to listen to your ideas and concerns and seek your views, helping to make sure the needs of children and their families are met. It also allows school to feedback to parents on changes occurring within the school.
Roots and fruits is the Christian resource package that we use to support our collective worship. It is rooted in Bible teaching and 12 Christian Values represent the fruits that grow as the teaching is lived out in everyday life. Each half-term focuses on one value (theme) which links with the season of the church year.

I have two children attending Bosley School (following in their ancestors’ footsteps). Both have very different educational strengths and I like the fact Bosley can individualise their learning experience. Enthusiastic staff push my children to do their best, whilst nurturing their social and emotional wellbeing. The school is small and therefore can offer a real family feel both for pupils and parents alike.

Lovely school with a friendly, approachable team of teaching staff. It is small but you shouldn't let this put you off as the children don't miss out on anything. In fact I think they get to experience more than the children in larger primary schools. Both my children are extremely happy and settled here.
