I am Mrs Jobbins and I am the teacher in Reception. I have been working at St John's for 13 years now and I feel very passionate about Early Years! Mrs Howarth is always on hand to help us with our learning. Our outdoor space is full of wonderful wooden equipment; our marvellous water wall, play house, rope and pulley system, den posts and story telling throne are just the beginning!
This term, we are exploring British Values and our Christian Value of 'Respect'. We will also continue to focus on Global learning and e-saftey, our e-safety story this half term is Digi-Duck's Big Decision. Pupils and students learn that the internet should be used safely and respectfully. Children will learn about responsible posting online and what content is appropriate to share.
Please see our Admissions Policies below, detailing our admissions criteria and how to make an application to St John's, either as a Reception starter or as an In Year applicant. As a voluntary aided school, our governing board is our admissions authority. However, admissions both for new starters and for In Year applications are co-ordinated on our behalf by the Local Authority.
We are a small non-profit making pre-school based at Bollington St Johns CE Primary School. We provide a secure, stimulating indoor and outdoor environment, embracing child led, play based, learning. Our ethos centres on our beliefs about the child. We put their needs first by creating an environment that enables them to be inquisitive and creative.
We are Bollington & Macclesfield Sea Cadets and part of the UK's oldest nautical youth charity. As a Sea Cadet you can go to sea, learn to sail and do adventure training, plus get extra skills to give you a great head start in life. We work partnership with the Royal Navy under a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and receive corporate support from commercial shipping companies and the Maritime sector.
