This summer get stuck into good book, take part in the challenge and help the WWF by taking part in. This year's Sports Day was a little bit different and we completed our events in our Class Bubbles. In Summer 2021, we took part in the National Gallery's Take One Picture project for the sixth time.

St. George's Primary School is a Church of England school at the very heart of our community. We are based in the beautiful Peak District, with impressive views across to Kinder Scout from the back of our school. The school is closely linked to St George's Church, which dates from 1831 and is a handsome Gothic structure in the style of Edward III.
At St George's School we want to bring the past alive for our children so they can compare and contrast the past to that of modern life. We want them to understand how and why things have changed and use a range of sources to find out about the past. We follow the National Curriculum for history which identifies and groups subject objectives for KS1 and KS2.
Please note that schools are not required to publish their exam and assessment results from the 2019-2020 academic year as these have not been published as performance measures by the Secretary of State. The performance data below is therefore from the 2018-2019 year, and not current.

Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills and inspect and regulate services that care for children and young people, and services providing education and skills for learners of all ages.A copy of the Ofsted report completed in 2016 for the previous school can be downloaded below.
If you would like a paper copy of any newsletters then please ring the school office and request a better to be sent home with your child. At the moment the timings are slightly different for the class bubbles to enter and leave school. Break and lunchtimes have also changed to ensure class bubbles can remain separate.
Primary School aims to provide an exciting curriculum, which is relevant to our children, but which also makes them want to find out more and enriches their lives, both now and in the future. Our curriculum complies with our duties in the Equality Act 2010 and the Special Educational Needs and Disability Regulations 2014.
