We are all very proud of our school and aim to ensure that all children feel safe, happy, and ready to learn. We are a one-form entry school, with approximately 210 children on roll - this gives us a real family feel where everybody knows and cares about each other. As a staff, we pride ourselves on knowing our children and families very well and creating a curriculum and wider opportunities that are fully inclusive and meet everyone's needs.
We are ambitious and want the children in our care to be aspirational and mindful learners, teaching them learning strategies so that they develop a genuine love of learning. Our school is an exciting and engaging place to learn, where children are nurtured and encouraged to explore their interests.

We aim for our curriculum to lead children's interests out into the world and for this to be effective the Humanities are important areas of study. In Key Stage 1 and 2 the children experience a range of topics where History and Geography are taught alongside each other. Some topics may have a greater History focus or others may be more Geography focused (please see the Curriculum Plan).
At Buglawton, we always aim to be the best we can be at everything that we do. We are proud of our school and all that we accomplish whether that is individually or as a whole. We work very hard in the classroom, achieving excellent academic results. However, just as important as results are the opportunities for the children to excel in activities outside the classroom.
Preschool is a wonderful time for your children to immerse themselves in new and exciting opportunities and experiences. We hope that by developing secure relationships with both our children and parents we can build on children's interests and recent experiences, creating a vital home-school relationship.
Mrs Abraham is our class teacher and Mrs Heathcote and Miss Painter are our Teaching Assistants. Click the pictures below to watch videos from them. In Reception, we learn through play focusing on all aspects of the children's development. During a typical day, we have fun learning phonics, literacy, and maths whilst encouraging and considering the children's physical and social development.
This year your child's class Teachers are Mrs Leech (Monday to Wednesday), Mrs Rosson (Wednesday afternoon: PPA) and the lovely Mrs Bonell (Thursday to Friday). Our teaching assistant is Mrs Weatherby-Gocol who will be on hand at various times throughout the week to support your child and their learning.
