Hillside Primary School continues to be a good school. There is enough evidence of improved performance to suggest that the school could be judged outstanding if we were to carry out a section 5 inspection now. Hillside Primary is a fully inclusive school and welcomes applications from all pupils, including those with special educational needs.

Hillside Primary School is committed to promoting the welfare and equality of all of its staff, pupils and other members of the school community. Equality and Diversity is more than just meeting legal obligations, or targets. It makes a difference to the lives of the people we serve, treating all people with dignity and respect, and recognising the value of each individual.
Hillside Primary School's Governing Body is similar to a board of Directors you would find in business. It has the responsibility for decisions relating to the conduct of the School, its strategic aims and objectives, future planning and the performance of the School. Members are elected or appointed to serve for a period of four years.
Since 2013, the Government has provided substantial primary school sport funding. This funding was being jointly provided by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport and will see money going directly to primary school Headteachers to spend on improving the quality of sport and PE for all their children.
