Went for a Sunday roast just after new year with the family, veg was dry & the portion was quite small, 2 roasties 1 pigs in blanket 1 brocoli, when the waiter asked how the meals were and we raised the issue, she said it was a lie as the veg is usually nice, why bother asking if you're gonna dismiss the statement? Probably best going elsewhere or to the carvery half a mile up the road!
2 stars given as the place is well presented and clean!

An excellent evening with the family. Staff were brilliant. Table staff and bar staff very efficient and attentive with a great scense of humour. Beer was excellent . The food was first class. Without doubt the best batteted fish I have in years. Last but not least.. the quality of the coffee served here is second to none. Professionally made and presented. An all round enjoyable experience.

Pub was clean and airy. Staff were very friendly esp Brenda who took the meal orders and brought drinks over. Only a small negative which is not there fault Is that the menu is limited and with what they do have there is a shortage of fillet and other meat produce but portions are very good and it is not a free house so drinks are limited also

Waited 75 minutes for our food. It was ok but not worth the wait. The pie was terrible, lasagne was very nice but small portion, sea bass was cooked well but vegetables were average. There was no communication about late food. Were told it would be out in 10 mins but was 30 minutes later. If there are problems in the kitchen then tell your customers don't just avoid them.

So booked online for 5:00pm and arrived just before hand (4:55pm) and were seated by a lovely waitress on a nice table next to window 😉! Might have had a bit of trouble in the kitchen... Ect but had to wait over a hour for food ... The family who arrived just before us (almost at the same time) wasn't quite as patient as us regarding the wait and left without food as did others ⌛. Must say though; when it did arrive the food was hot, fresh and absolutely delicious 🤤! Waitresses, who's name was Franchesca, did a Amazing job and gave us complementary drinks to make up for the hold up

Nice pub as long as you're not hungry. Very limited menu and no specials. Drinks were ok, but portions were very small for the price! £13 for a small burger and a few fries! £12 for apparently a large fish and chips! Good sized fish but it tasted like cheap tasteless pollok covered in very thin tasteless beer batter accompanied by a few chips and a small pot of peas. Asked if everything was ok by 3 members of staff and I expressed that was unhappy to all 3 and none of them seemed to care. One had the audacity to say that they're the same sized portions they serve everyone... That's all right
