The Vale Royal Abbey Arms is a traditional country pub in a beautiful 200-year-old listed building, close to Delamere Forest. Expect a warm welcome, quality cask ales, a selection of fine wines and our menu is filled with seasonal specials and fantastic pub classics.

Cask ale is at the heart of our pub and being owned by a family brewery means we serve the best in the area. Aside from the local favourites including Bitter and MPA, expect to find limited edition seasonal ales on the bar throughout the year as well as our beautifully refreshing Manchester Craft Lager; perfect for sipping in the sun in our beer garden while catching up with friends.

Our cosy, relaxed atmosphere is the perfect place to get together, grab a drink or two and enjoy a delicious home cooked meal. I have been here many times before and rated it higher. Unfortunately they have changed some suppliers so the quality in my opinion was not as good as previous visits. The staff did discount that meal which was very good of them. It does however mean I shall look elsewhere.

Food was good and service quick. Wouldn't rush back for a special night out as the food wasn't spectacular, but definitely worth considering for a last minute meal out. By no means the fault of the pub but the evening was rather spoiled by a family with young kids behaving very raucously on a nearby table. Adults in the group clearly didn't care about anyone else in the room at all. Not reflected in my star rating as obviously not the fault of the pub

Arrived late evening and it was very busy, we hadn't booked a table. We received a very warm welcome from staff who arranged a table for us after a couple of drinks. The food was delicious. Highly recommend the Vale Royal Abbey Arms for food and drink. A very warm and welcoming atmosphere and the staff are lovely. Close if you're staying near Delamere Forest as it's only a short walk away.

I went in here with no expectation. Expected rubbish frozen pub-grub and microwave meals. I am very happy to confirm this was far from the case. The Sunday roasts looked fantastic. I went for the steak pie and it was stunning, really good. If you are near Delamere Forest for a day out I highly recommend it

Tolerable fish n chips. Hard to get good chips anywhere these days so I have sweet potato fries which are good here. Followed by Christmas pud disappointingly square but tasty all the same. Great festive atmosphere, fast service from really friendly professional staff. Reasonable pub prices

Absolutely fantastic. Staff were very welcoming and professional. They had the fireplace lit and it was very cosy. Elegantly decorated for the christmas period. The food was absolutely delicious and great value for money. I would definitely recommend and have done to friends and family. We can't wait to go back again. Thankyou very much.

Always receive great service and delicious food here. First time having a Sunday roast and it did not disappoint, so delicious! Slight hiccup with our meal and the staff sorted it out straight away with no fuss and ir definitely didn't take away from how great the food is!
