Our Head Chef, Matt, (formerly Sous Chef at our award-winning Bulls Head in Mobberley) and his team are working constantly with fresh seasonal ingredients. We are supported by our local farms for our potatoes and fresh chips, free range eggs, meat and game, cheeses, ice creams and other fresh produce.
Our seafood is delivered fresh daily and we prepare everything freshly to order. We have 'lighter lunches' Monday to Friday that sit alongside our main menu. We also have regular food weeks such as our famous Allostock Game Week. We do not serve fast food, simply fresh, flavoursome food, as fast as possible!

Services
The pub had sadly closed down and was on its way to extinction before it was rescued by Tim Bird and Mary McLaughlin, who also own the Cholmondeley Arms on Lord Cholmondeley's estate, the Bulls Head, Roebuck Inn and Church Inn (all in Mobberley) and finally the Fitzherbert Arms on Lord Stafford's Estate in Swynnerton.
The Old Doghouse Barn takes its name from the barn where the original 'three greyhounds' were housed when the pub was a working farm. Now a large, rustic, versatile space, it is a perfect location for a country wedding. With exclusive use of this completely self-contained space, you have a venue which comes fully staffed with its own bar, toilets and plenty of room for live music and some dancing.
We are always looking for great people to join our team whether it be here at the Three Greyhounds Inn specifically or indeed elsewhere within our wonderful collection of pubs. We are always looking for young chefs who really want to develop with us and of course more experienced chefs who love cooking flavoursome fresh food for our guests.
We welcome well behaved dogs in our Brandy Snug and also in the bar area in addition to the garden. There are water bowls with fresh tap water by the front door and around the garden. On the bar is a barrel of fresh water to top your up bowls and a jar of dog biscuits for our four legged friends to enjoy.
We welcome children of all ages to the pub but there are some points worthy of note below. Children under 10 are welcome here at the Three Greyhounds until 7pm inside the pub and 9pm in our garden. Children of 10 and older are welcome with parents beyond these times. We have a selection of smaller portions available for children so do please ask us on arrival and we will be pleased to help.

Had a lovely Sunday dinner at the Three Greyhounds. We were told there were no tables available and asked to wait but were quickly seated in a quiet corner of the restaurant. Food was lovely, although the roast potatoes were a little tough after being kept warm too long. Meat was fabulous and the veggies were very nicely cooked. Will definitely go back but if for Sunday dinner may make it a little earlier.
Restaurant doesn't take bookings which makes it a bit of a gamble, but definitely one worth taking.

Beautiful upstairs room. Nicely decorated all earthy for an occasion. Plenty of parking. Nice garden but the food was a real let down. This was during an occasion and as a gluten free diner I was assured I would be catered for but during the bbq I was given rock hard oblong toast... Not a bun and a cold burger. The salad was just a bowl of leaves, no actual fresh salad like cucumber, onion, tomato etc and to my horror my bread (which I was unable to use anyway due to it being toasted and rock solid) was also mouldy....
I think the catering was not up to scratch.

Our favourite pub truly pulled out all the stops for our wedding celebration earlier in August 2021 - we welcomed our guests to the Old Doghouse Barn for a very special five hours on a rainy Saturday afternoon, but not even the weather could dampen our spirits. Service with a smile on the day, great drinks and BBQ food, all set in the most romantic room. Thanks so much to Emily and then Jamie in the Three Greyhounds for helping us to continue the party afterwards in the main area of the pub. Can't wait to come back for more merriment later in the year!
