Sample our traditional English food and our unique Persian cuisine in comfortable surroundings. At the Mow Cop Inn you will always find the finest quality food and drinks, a warm welcome from our friendly staff in a relaxed atmosphere. A selection of freshly prepared English and Persian specials are served at lunchtimes and evenings, except on Sundays when the bar menu, and a choice of two roasts is available.
Services
The pub was in need of some renovation which we promptly undertook to get it to the present standard that it is today. All our food is cooked to order to maintain absolute freshness by the landlord who is also the chef. It is always consistent as it has been for the last 20 odd years.
At the present time we have a full bar menu, Steaks, and the famously popular Persian Specials which really are "Special" and of course the Sunday Roasts, with good beers and wines to compliment our food or just drop in for a coffee and relax.

Tender chicken breast cooked in a sauce with fresh spinach, herbs and Seville orange juice. This is served with Persian style rice and salad garnish. Tender pieces of lamb cooked in a tomato sauce with fresh green beans and a hint of cinnamon. Tender pieces of Lamb cooked in a sauce spinach, fresh herbs, red kidney beans, fresh tomatoes and dried limes.
I highly recommend this pub, definitely not to be missed. 2 * * * * * We travel from Crewe as often as we possibly can for Saied's food. My personal favourite is the home made steak and ale pie (to die for) My husbands is any of the Persian dishes ( he thinks he's died and gone to heaven ) he just loves them all.

This gorgeous setting for a pint right at the top of Mow Cop, a stone's throw away from Mow Cop Castle with the ability to see over the Cheshire and Staffordshire borderlands. The traditional pub food is available along with the unusual-for-a-pub Persian food. Service was quick when I went and friendly bar staff so definitely worth a place for a meal etc. Prices were great for food aswell as the large selection of beers/ales from local and international brands. The outdoor seating areas also make it a popular place to enjoy the countryside with a summer pint and friends if you can travel to
