We are new to motor homing and stayed here back in October for. a 2 night stay. The staff were so welcoming, friendly and happy to help. The site facilities were the best and cleanest we have been accross (and we’ve done a lot of camping!) Set in natural, quiet surroundings it’s easy to fall in love with all this place has to offer. Recommended as a must and we can’t wait to go back and visit!

Just had 4 superb nights, at this friendly site. A warm welcome with no fuss to check in, a toilet block that lacks nothing, everywhere clean with soap and hand wash easily available. To top off the comfort of the block the background sound track is a grin factor every time you enter. The pitches are flat , and well maintained. Thank you for organising mainly perfect autumn lake weather xx

Fantastic. The lodge was immaculately clean and very comfortable. It was equipped with everything you needed and the hot tub was great to relax in after a day hiking. The site was very quiet. The doggy shower on the site is very handy if you have a dog like ours that enjoys rolling in anything disgusting. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent cottage right at the front of the site, amazing views of Ulswater. Excellently kitted out, all the appliances you could ever need and of course the hot tub. Plenty of places to eat in Pooley Bridge and pubs if you like a pint or two. If you want to go self catering make sure you take everything with you as in Pooley Bridge the shops are expensive and only have a selection of items. Don't worry about frozen/chilled food the cottage has a massive fridge freezer.

Absolutely love this place. Totally private plot with hedge surrounding us. Very friendly staff. Good little shop on site. Toilet and shower block is unreal. Cosy warm. Hot powerful showers and even tweety bird… music piped through. Ice available for the much needed gin at the end of a long hike!! Very well kept green areas. Children's play area to tire out the little ones before bed. Just a short walk into Pooley bridge with plenty pubs and shops to choose from. Thankyou Hillcroft Park 😊

Just wonderful! Friendly staff and excellent facilities! Cleanliness is second to none! Convenient for the steamer boats and ten minute walk down into Pooley Bridge. This was a three night stay on the road home from Scotland but I was sad to leave! Will return most definitely 🙂 Cheeky photos of the loos and showers (I was the only one in there) had to show these because they would not be out of place in a top notch hotel!

Wonderful place, nice and spacious and kept very tidy. The lodge we were in was very clean and well maintained. A man visited each morning to check the hot tub.10 to 15 minutes walk to Poolie Bridge, but a little steep to walk back. Also a good place to strike out and explore the areas. Plenty of places to eat out in the town. All 5 of the family will return in 2023, all being well.

Stayed in both a touring caravan and a tent at this place - lovely warm toilet/shower block with birdsong piped in! Ate pizza from the van which was nice although a little pricey I thought. Sandwich from the same van for breakfast was nice and decent value. A nice short walk into Pooley Bridge too! The only let down for me is the lack of lake access that you get with Waterside House - but their facilities aren't as nice!
