Fellside Lodge is a bright clean modern pine lodge which is furnished to a very high standard. We will endevour to ensure that a stay at Fellside Lodge is a pleasurable experience. Situated on the fells, only 3 miles from Lake Windermere it's a stone's throw away from Ambleside and Bowness. It's perfectly placed for a relaxing holiday whilst being central to all the major visitor centres and attractions the Lake District has to offer.
The Lounge and Dining area is open plan and airy, the perfect place to stay whilst unwinding in the Lakes. The spacious lounge contains a leather three piece suite and single armchair, providing you with extreme comfort. French doors open out onto the front deck. A coffee table and side tables provide you with ample, opportunities, to put down that cuppa.
Limefitt Park features lakeland stone buildings, mature trees and traditional stone walls - which gives way to grazing sheep, as the valley rises steeply upwards to meet the peaks of the Yoke, Froswick and High Street which dominate the landscape. With its spectacular and unspoilt surroundings, there's direct access to the Lakeland fells and an abundance of walks and wildlife.
A BIG thank you for allowing us to use your beautiful lodge for our family mini break. The only down side is having to go home today. It's been lovely having somewhere warm, cosy and homely to come home to after a meal up at the Haybarn! We will most certainly be back in 2013 for longer! We've had a great week staying in the lodge.
A minor road off the Hawkshead-Coniston road (B5285) winds the couple of miles northwest to Tarn Hows. Tarn Hows is a beautiful body of water surrounded by spruce and pine Trees, circled by paths with numerous picnic spots. This is a very easy 2mile circular walk on a well-maintained path, which is suitable for strollers.

To be clear, this review is about the booking company 'Lake District Lodge Holidays'.
Booking was all easy and simple.
There were a couple of issues with the caravan and also the info supplied on the website did not match with the actual reception on site (cost of leisure facilities).
We called/emailed LDLH and they came back and advised a repair time for the van problem. The other issues were blamed on the site (Parkdean) for not updating them on prices. Although apologetic no compensation was offered for the extra costs.
The repair people never turned up (no major problem but still inconvenient

We have booked lodges through Lake District Lodge Holidays for many years now - they are great to deal with, very polite, helpful, always come back to me promptly when I ask for their help to find a lodge. We have stated at White Cross Bay several times and just about to try Limefitt Park - all the lodges are excellent and we will always book our lodge holidays through Lake District Lodge Holidays - highly recommend
