Joining classes by Zoom is significantly cheaper, including options for low income and students. However, in-person is best. If you are able to commit to 5 in-person classes within 2 months, you can buy a class pass and save 10. Yoga at The Yoga Hall supports and amplifies flexibility, flow, ease, strength, insight, intuition and resilience.
Through subtle awareness, breath and movement, you will be invited to begin uncovering your inner world, to find out more and more of who and what you really are. The process of meeting, befriending, loving and unwinding the body, of letting it talk to you, enhances your life from the inside out.

The discipline of Yoga, sometimes referred to as an 'inner technology', aims at the release of tensions and stress in the body through the physical approach of movement, and of its postures called asanas. The mind is helped to create a "feel" for the body through the intuitive performance of the asanas.
We honour Tryambakam, (literally "Three Eyed One" [Siva] symbolising a state of perfect knowledge of the three realms - body, mind, spirit). Our focus on this fragrant state of knowledge increasingly strengthens and nourishes us. Through it, may we be liberated from identification with the mortal body and its certain death, and from the illusion of all limitation, which is like death.
A closer relationship is then created between body and mind, and one begins to perceive a fresh sense of well being. If the practice of this ancient knowledge is maintained with regularity, soon a new state of health will be experienced and enjoyed. The Yoga Hall is a special place. You immediately feel calm on entering. I have attended general, workshops & pregnacy classes over many years with Laura & Finlay. How ever hard i feel it is to get there, i never come out disappointed. I always feel great afterwards. Just a note to say a big thank you for a professional, thoughtful and inspirational retreat, Jo and I thoroughly enjoyed it and we learned a lot.
Restorative Yoga is the use of props to support the body in positions of ease to facilitate deep relaxation and health. We work very hard in our lives, and while we may sleep, we rarely taken time to rest. Restorative Yoga poses help us learn to relax and rest deeply and completely and involve 'opening' rather than 'stretching'.

Started pregnancy yoga here at around 15 weeks and have absolutely loved it. Have found the balance of exercise, stretches, breathing and meditation just right. Laura is great and very knowledgeable. She always takes the time to find out how you are and often seems to include useful and appropriate exercises within the class. The herbal tea, homemade cookies and opportunity to chat after the class are an added bonus. Unfortunately I am relocating so will really miss this class in my final couple of weeks of pregnancy!

Warm, friendly and welcoming. I have been visiting The Yoga Hall for many years and couldn't even begin to describe the benefits that I have reaped from my practice there. I feel so lucky to have such an amazing, open-hearted yoga community close by. Would recommend without reservation to anyone, whether they are a complete beginner or an advanced yogi.

Love this place! Have been coming for two years, and plan to do so for many years to come. The atmosphere is welcoming and kind. When I was new to St Albans the Yoga Hall was one of the first places where I started to make friends. I became part of a community there. This was made possible because of simple things like sharing a tea after yoga class, but also profound beautiful group work like chanting and a circle for women once a month. I'd highly recommend the Yoga Hall!

Very passive aggressive and controlling instructor (owner of the place). She wouldn't allow me to open my eyes during the class because "my energy gets out of my eyes and messes up everybody else's energy".
I wanted to try their classes to calm down because I have anxiety. Well that didn't work as I was highly stressed for the rest of the day.
Half of the class was about chanting mantras and even she wasn't able to follow the recording. There was no explanation of what the mantra was for. She kept saying weird words for different positions, assuming everybody just knows them. She wasn't prepared

A little bastion of peace nestled in the town centre, The Yoga Hall features schedule full of beautifully constructed, well paced, and interesting classes. But this is also a space highly conducive to friendship formation, self-acceptance and self-knowledge.
The Yoga Hall introduced me to both Hatha Yoga and Vipassana Meditation. And without these things in my life, I would probably be on a psychiatric ward.
Thank you Finlay and Laura xxxxx

The Yoga Hall its such a wonderful place! It has an amazing energy that I keep coming back for more! I have been coming for 8 years now, it has helped me so much and my family. The teachers are highly skilled and very welcoming. I have and still come to Hatha with Finlay, to Kundalini with Laura and Nidra with the wonderful Lou.
I came to pregnancy yoga for both of my children, baby massage, baby yoga, Laura's help is immeasurable. She is an amazing yoga instructor very open and respectful of our personal pregnancy journey.

The Yoga Hall is a very special place. It’s so much more than just another place to come and do yoga. Over the last ten plus years, I have attended Saturday morning classes with a hangover, to pre natal classes, to post natal, to baby massage, to baby yoga, to kids yoga, and now I’m in the Sunday evening escape the chaos of family life class. Would (and do) recommend to everyone!
