Services
This is a new universal number for out of hours. You will be asked some questions to assess your symptoms and then directed to a local service that can help you best. OurNet are commissioned to provide cover for our practice on a Friday afternoon from 1.00pm - 6.30pm.

NHS Walsall Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) has worked with local GPs to create four Hubs based at Darlaston Health Centre, Pinfold Health Centre, Broadway Medical Practice and Portland Medical Practice. The Hubs are currently run by a group of local GPS. NHS 111 will also be able to book an appointment for you if they feel you need to see a GP.
A Carer is anyone, including children and adults who looks after a family member, partner or friend who needs help because of their illness, frailty, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction and cannot cope without their support. The care they give is unpaid. When we refer to carers in this document, this is inclusive of both adult and young carers.
The group meets approximately every quarter. It is an opportunity for patients to discuss any concerns or make suggestions that they might feel might improve the services at the surgery. We also hold regular health information sessions and you can also become a virtual member. To register your interest, please leave your details at reception and an invite will be sent to you for the next meeting.
We offer a repeat prescribing service. You can order online, by fax or in writing (please provide a stamped addressed envelope for requests that require posting). Alternatively you can bring your written request into surgery or use the white part to your prescription and hand this in at reception. We are also registered to the electronic prescribing service.
The practice is helping support women of child bearing age who are thinking if becoming pregnant. There is evidence that a healthy pregnancy is strongly influenced by a women's health status. We can help with stopping smoking, weight management support and advice and managing Diabetes/Gestational Diabetes.

Where to start... I have been reviewing medical centers for a long while.
This practice is the worst in Walsall, in short words the Main Doctor is a con who does Not pay attention to his patients and delivers over the phone consultations instead of seeing them up close to get a good idea of what the condition is.
I was brought in to see this for myself as I could not believe what I was hearing. I have been studying this surgery now for over a year with only shocking results.
Here's a very sad example of a patient who was neglected and ended up in hospital due to the lack of medical experience

My mom goes to this gp and has been with them for 3 years. She has various medical implications and have nearly killed her twice by not prescribing her the CD's that she needs and have been told to take by the specialists at the hospital. Also the reception never put through prescriptions on time or claim they have so you run around only to find the surgery shut and it's always too late to do anything about it. My mom ended up in hospital because of this and being left with no medication. One of which is heart medication. Horrible doctors, don't go there unless you want to die a horrible death

The staff at this surgery are great help however Dr Jay is a very bad doctor he neglects patients and believes he is always right even when you are in dire pain he will tell you there’s nothing wrong with you. The Nurse practitioner is even worse she will give you a “clear “ diagnosis and then you will end up in hospital with a serious problem only 24hrs later. This is very bad in my opinion and I do not recommend this surgery to anyone for any reason. I feel sorry for the staff working there trying there hardest to help patients... do not use this practice you will get neglected. There are
