Both premises have wheelchair access to both floors and disabled toilet facilities on the ground floor. If you need assitance, our reception staff will be happy to assist. Parking facilities are available for all patients at the front of the building and disabled parking spaces are for blue badge holders only.

We have a clamping service in operation to protect our disabled spaces. CCTV covers all areas 24/7. In order to access online services for Repeat Prescriptions and Appointments you will need to Register with our provider Emis Patient Access. This is an important message for asthma patients from your GP practice.
Services
Fisher Street branch closes at 1pm daily. Please note if need to contact that surgery after 1pm our Gomer Street site will be open and phones available as per opening times above. These appointments in the extended hours will be available to patients that find it difficult to attend the surgery at normal times due to work, lifestyle and family commitments etc.
Regular check-ups are available for diabetics, asthmatics, heart/stroke patients and patients with high blood pressure. Nurses are also very happy to discuss menopause and contraception, please enquire at reception.

The practice managers are involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology.
It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible - at least 6 weeks before you travel - as a second appointment will be required with the practice nurse to actually receive the vaccinations. These vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine. Your second appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.
These fact sheets have been written to explain the role of UK health services, the National Health Service (NHS), to newly-arrived individuals seeking asylum. They cover issues such as the role of GPs, their function as gatekeepers to the health services, how to register and how to access emergency services.
The Summary Care Record (SCR) is an electronic record of important patient information, created from GP medical records. It can be seen and used by authorised staff in other areas of the health and care system involved in your direct care. Your SCR is a short summary of your GP medical records (medication, allergy and adverse reaction information).

I'll let this speak for itself. My father is a regular user of this practice. However, he has,, on more than one occasion, had to buy his own asthma treatment, as the receptionist has decided that he doesn't need it, as aparrently, the receptionist is able to prescribe and unprescribe medicines. Apart from dire receptionist staff, the practice is okay. However, some of their clinical decisions have been seen as questionable by a consultant at New Cross Hospital, so make of that what you will. Overall, it is a good practice, but much to be desired in terms of PR and clinical decision making.
