Establish a community led nursery that provides a safe, secure learning environment. Where children can explore and discover the world around them and reach their full potential. At Pomfret Woodland Community Nursery, the quality of the food we serve is important to us. Children need energy in order to keep up an active lifestyle, and good food is essential to promote healthy growth and development.
Our aim is to provide the children in our care with a healthy, balanced diet which is full of variety and which meets their individual dietary needs. Our baby area caters for children till just after their 2nd birthday, and is known as 'Bumble Bee's'. We have qualified and highly experienced staff who lead this area and we operate on a 1:3 ratio, with every child having a key person to form that first important bond with when they start nursery.

My little girl has been with this wonderful team since she was five-months old. I chose Pomfret Woodlands after looking around at least ten others. It is not local, or on my way to work and so was not chosen for convenience. These are my reasons behind my decision.
1. On my first visit, the staff were invisible because they were so embedded in play with the children. They did not break off to wow me with their setting. I see this dedication and commitment from the whole team whenever I go to collect my little girl.
2. They talked about my child as a child. They didn’t show me planning or cite
