School office to contact parents to ensure a test has been taken and to make sure that parents know to communicate test results to admin@wheldon.wakefield.sch.uk. If a child is entitled to income-related free school meals then a food parcel will be delivered to your house.

If a child is vulnerable in any way, a DSL will ensure that appropriate agencies are notified and arrange for regular safe and well checks via a phone call from the DSL (record on CPOMS).If a child does not engage, the class teacher is to call the parents to discuss obstacles and support.

Breakfast Club is available each day from 8am and costs 2 per session. Children have a choice of breakfast from a range of cereals, toast, bagel & baked beans on toast. A number of activities will be available for children to complete and take part in. At the end of the session pupils are taken to their classroom ready for registration.

As Governors, we are responsible for a number of areas including attainment, finance, policies and procedures. Our role involves working closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team to ensure children get the best possible education to enable them to reach their full potential, in an environment where they feel safe, valued and learning is fun.

We have a group of parents and friends of the school who organise most of the fund raising activities in school. Their aim is to help to provide and maintain high quality resources and experiences for the children in our care. As well as raising money, the events they hold always have fun for children at their heart.
