The Wyke Down is now open inside and outside, in accordance with Government guidelines, Wednesday to Sunday from 12 noon until 10pm. We have plenty of space indoors, a large fenced garden with a children's play area, plenty of benches, and now we also have a huge covered decking area available to book on 01264 339335.

The staff were really polite and the food was delicious. Panko prawns lovely, plenty of filling in the sandwiches (excellent value) and the scampi and chips super portions, chips to die for.
Shame about lack of atmosphere, but more to the point, the ladies toilets were disgusting, and let the premises down.

Newly opened (A month ago). Looks nice and clean. That's where the compliments end. Terrible service as they forgot to put one of our orders through, no table check, no-one asked us if we would like another drink (we had to chase the staff down), my peri-peri chicken should have been with garlic mayo (which was a dot in the middle). Toilets were dark and I almost bumped into someone. How much do bulbs cost people? Once the 1 starter had arrived (after 20 mins) it then took 45 mins for the mains to turn up. Menu is very limited unless you want a burger. And the prices are insane for the quality

There for a meal with my family last night. Never again. 4 of 5 children's meals delivered to table. After 20 minutes went to ask where the other meal was. It hadn't been put through. Another wait till it came. Over an hour later the 5 adult meals arrived. Previously had good experience there, but won't be going again. The photo is the garlic mayo on the piri piri burger!!!!!

Recent price increases I understand and have no issue with paying for quality but the food has gone massively downhill. A roast with over cooked, tough meat full of gristle, soggy potatoes and jelly-like, flavour-less gravy !! Inexperienced staff who cleared the table twice when I was still eating…but disappear when you need anything, felt like they wanted us out for another table to be seated.

Unfortunately this was only the second time we have been but we won't be going again for a while. You can tell that the young staff, lack training and that the new owner lacks in the experience in running a pub.
Our meal on the first visit was very nice "pub grub" although they did miss a child's meal off the order(this was rectified very quickly) our second visit not so good.... the same starters that were ordered as on our first visit, they came out very different on our second visit also with out of date butter on couple of the starters.

Awful experience, the young staff lack training and we were ignored for 40 minutes even went to the bar 3 times to ask to order food to be told someone would come. Then when we did order the food took around an hour to arrive, the garlic mushrooms were cold and both mains were not nice at all. Can't say anything nice about the evening at all, very disappointing

First time we arrived on a Sunday and really enjoyed the food! The pub is clean with a lot of open space and dog friendly. Brownie and ice cream itself tasted delicious ! Although there were few things we did not like it as much, the food overall was well presented as well as the table was laid out nicely. We will come again soon.
