Ty'n Y Cornel is a small hotel on the corner of Tal-y-Lyn lake, with dramatic views of Cader Idris. A perfect stay, whether you're looking to visit the region and simply need somewhere comfortable and friendly to lay your head, or you're needing a relaxing break and wish to spend a long weekend in the beautiful Welsh countryside.
We have a superb restaurant at Ty'n Y Cornel, our chef has designed a menu that sees a variety of local delicacies along with popular British dishes. If there are any dietary requirements you have, let us know and we'll be able to assist. We also aim to create excellent seasonal menus, if you're looking to stay with us and wish to know what will be available at the time, please feel free to contact us and we'll be able to help you.

Stayed locally for a weeks holiday.
Booked a meal here for 2 nights during our stay and had a wonderful, well prepared and presented meal on both nights.
Staff very friendly and welcoming.
Hotel itself is very nice and plan to re visit and stay here for a short break next time.
Well worth a visit and to eat here.
Husband said minted lamb pie was the best he had and pastry to die for.

Amazing, room fantastic with amazing lake view
Comfy bed, clean sheets and clean room to high standard
Bathroom and shower were modern and very clean also
We stayed for 3 course meal which was a ten on ten, service was very good.
Also if you have a pudding, get the chocolate orange cheesecake! Wow, a-ma-zing!!
We will be staying here again for sure, we loved it.

I can't fault anything about this hotel. The location is superb. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The rooms are cosy and have everything you need with very comfy beds and views of the lake. The evening meals and breakfasts are incredibly delicious and cater for all. The lounge areas are lovely. I cannot wait to come back again. 👍
