Services
The Forest School movement originated as a way of building children's independence and self-esteem. It is an approach well-suited to our pre-school children and supports the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework, in particular, children's Personal, Social and Emotional Development, their Physical Development, and Communication and Language skills.
Every time you shop online via easyfundraising at one of the 3,300 retailers including Amazon, John Lewis, Aviva, Sainsbury's and Booking.com, a donation will be made to Purley Pre School, and it won't cost you a penny extra. Get shopping - your donations will be collected by easyfundraising and automatically sent to Purley Pre-School.
Lunch (if they're staying for lunch club). Please remember to cut small fruit such as grapes and tomatoes in half to prevent choking. Please remember to send in spare clothing for your children, as they often get wet when playing with water, from going outside or from the occasional accident.
Part of the children's experience at Pre-School is learning to put on coats and shoes by themselves, we would therefore appreciate it if you could check whether the shoes they are wearing are ones that slip on easily, so that children can put them on by themselves (or try to), even if they need further help with doing them up.

Purley Pre-School was officially formed in 1975, after having 10 years prior to that combined with Westwood Farm Playgroup. We can offer some flexibility with a later drop-off or earlier collection for those needing to get children to other local schools. We are a community group serving the communities of Purley on Thames, Tilehurst, Pangbourne and surrounding areas.
Our Breakfast Club runs Monday-Friday from 8am to 8.45am and is open to all our pre-school children enabling parents to extend their morning session. Breakfast club costs 4.50 per session and needs to be booked and paid for in advance. If your child is eligible for 2, 3 or 4 year old funding you may be able to use this to book regular breakfast club sessions on a term-by-term basis.

My son attended Purley Pre School after moving from another Pre school and they made him so welcome. He loved attending Purley Pre School and strived in his development. He grew and learnt so much whilst he was there and they prepared him so well to be ready for Reception. All the staff are friendly and professional and are passionate about the care they give the children. Highly recommend and I was so pleased I made the right decision to move my son here.
