Conveniently based in the Silverdale Centre within Maiden Erlegh School's grounds, the pre-school is just two minutes' walk from Aldryngton Primary School.
At Maiden Erlegh Preschool, we pride ourselves on the caring and stimulating environment we provide for our children. Services
Children may start at Maiden Erlegh Preschool from age 2 years 6 months. Registrations forms can be downloaded from our Forms & Documents section. Please complete and return the form when your child is at least 18 months old in order for their name to be placed on our waiting list. We primarily serve the Earley/Reading area of Berkshire but also welcome children from further afield.
Our high staff ratio of at least 1 adult to every 6 children (the minimum requirement being 1 to 8), enables staff to spend quality time with individual children. Our pre-school staff are mature, dedicated, well-trained in all aspects of nursery and pre-school childcare and education and very hard-working!
Maiden Erlegh Preschool is managed by a committee of parent volunteers. Committee responsibilities include employing the nursery's staff, childcare health and safety and fundraising. Committee members are the charity trustees of our Earley-based preschool and all are DBS checked. The committee consists of a chair, treasurer and secretary, who are the officers, and up to nine other members.
Please note: the forms below should be printed and returned to the Preschool either by hand or by post. You can find our address here. Your child will then go straight onto our waiting list. The Authorised Adults form specifies the list of people who will be permitted to collect your child from the Pre-school.
There are many ways you, your friends and family can get involved with fundraising for the preschool. Use the website www.easy2name.com to buy name labels for your children's clothes, shoes and bags - the preschool will receive a 20% commission. The pre-school is uniquely placed within the highly popular Maiden Erlegh School's grounds and is only two minutes' walk from Aldryngton Primary School.

My child has complained about a business teacher. I think his name was Mr Van. My son told me that he is late to lessons and the whole class did badly in the test. I already reported this to the office but there hasn't been a change since. I hope this problem will be resolved because I want my son to do well. On another note, I think I heard my son say that Mr Van said that revision is not important and that they shouldn't do it. I am very disappointed at what is going on in that school. The only good thing I would say would be that the clubs are pretty good.
