We are a small Pre-School located on the ground floor of the YMCA Reading building. As a team we pride ourselves that collectively we have many years' experience and knowledge of children and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). We offer a stimulating environment both inside and out for funded children of 2, 3 and 4 years old.
Children learn at Parkside Pre-School through play-based learning. Children can select resources to enable them to use their own ideas, therefore, stretching their own imagination. The team of staff at Parkside Pre-School ensure that children are safe, secure and nurtured throughout their time with us.

Services
Parkside Pre-School is located on the ground floor of the YMCA Reading building. Although we share the same building as YMCA Reading, we are a secure and separate establishment. We accept children that have 2 year funding and 3 & 4 year funding. The 15 hours can be made up of either mornings or afternoons.
The children can enjoy free flow play - based learning over two large, fully equipped rooms plus a large outside area, with a sheltered space. During this time children will enjoy the independence of making choices and discovering their own likes and dislikes. There are a variety of resources that the children can choose from such as being creative in many ways, social play, constructive play or fantasy play to name a few.
At Parkside Pre-School we know that you are the most important person in your child's life. From you they will achieve their first steps in language and communication, develop their physical skills and become social and develop friendships. We are here to support you and your child and it is important for us to work together to help your child develop to their full potential in the early years.
