Our building offers an excellent environment for learning - bright, spacious class areas, small tutorial rooms, a large games hall, separate dining hall and extensive school grounds with a Multi-Use Games Area. The school has a Headteacher, Depute and Principal Teachers and ten classes together with our ELC.
We are very proud of the successes of our school, the excellent relationships we have with our children, families and friends within our community and the team of people who work hard to make our school a happy place where all children are supported to achieve their potential.

To ensure all pupils receive a high quality inclusive education in order to become confident individuals, effective contributors, responsible citizens and successful learners. To work in collaboration with our community and stakeholders to promote quality opportunities for our young people. To build and develop resilient pupils equipped to tackle problems in their life and learning with a growth mind set.
At West Linton Primary consultation on our curriculum with our stakeholders has been very important. Together with our pupils, parents, staff and community we considered our unique factors and our main drivers for the curriculum. From this consultation and underpinned by our Vision learning together to achieve our best we created a Rationale for our Curriculum, which can be found here.
At West Linton Primary, we value the contribution made by parents in co-educating their children in partnership with our school. We recognise that Home Learning is everything a child learns or experiences at home. As such, during session 2018-19, we asked our parents what home learning opportunities best met the needs of their children and we adjusted our Home Learning offer and policy accordingly.
Primary school menus have been developed to meet national nutritional standards set by the Scottish Government to be balanced, healthy and nutritious. All food is prepared on the premises. Pupils can also bring their own packed lunch if they wish. School and packed lunches are supervised by the janitor/general assistant along with the Headteacher, Depute Headteacher or Principal Teacher.
