St. Ronan's is a school at the heart of the community where everyone is nurtured and inspired to achieve their full potential. At St. Ronan's we're proud of our warm, welcoming and inclusive ethos and we believe this is the environment where children will learn best. We provide children with a broad education, which has a clear focus on literacy, numeracy and health and wellbeing.
We enjoy partnerships with parents, local groups and businesses for the benefit of our learners and the community itself. We hope you find our website interesting and informative, but always welcome personal approaches, so please do get in touch. As well as email and paper newsletters we publish our News on the website and on Facebook, so you can choose how you keep up to date.

St. Ronan's Primary School is a hub of learning within the community of Innerleithen and district. Built in 1957 and located within some five acres at the east end of the town, the school commands one of the most attractive situations in the Scottish Borders. To the south lies the flood plain of the River Tweed overlooked by the forested area of Caddon Bank and Plora and to the north the scree slopes of Pirn Craig.
We operate a Breakfast Club between 7.50am and 8.30am for pupils in P.1-7. For a small charge of 1.00 per child per day children can have toast with a topping or cereal and a drink. From time to time, we offer a range of other foods. There are a number of quiet activities on offer and we encourage the children to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere; this can be a great start to the school day.
Delicious, freshly prepared school meals are available at 2.10 for a two-course meal with the choice of two traditional dishes, or soup and sandwich option plus a drink of either fruit juice, water or milk. On Fridays a Brunch is offered, with tasty hot snacks or sandwiches as well as drinks and desserts.
The curriculum is 'the totality of all that is planned for children and young people throughout their education.' We have developed a Four Part Model for Learning and Teaching. Our consistently high standard of teaching and learning leads to raised attainment and improved quality of experiences for all our children.
Curriculum for Excellence represents the biggest educational reform since the advent of 5-14. It aims to ensure that all children and young people of Scotland develop the attributes, knowledge and skills they will need if they are to flourish in life, learning and work, now and in the future. We hold regular curriculum workshops for parents.
