Cramond Primary is a non-denominational school built in 1975. The school serves the village of Cramond and the surrounding areas of northwest Edinburgh. We are part of the Royal High School cluster and work closely with the other associated primaries of Blackhall, Clermiston and Davidson's Mains. The school roll is over 400 pupils.
We have a custom built nursery on site with places for 50 pupils in morning and 50 afternoon places. Our school building was extensively upgraded and extended in 1999 and then again recently in 2006. There are 15 classrooms and a large nursery classroom. The entrance hall leads into offices for the Head Teacher (HT), school administrator and service support officer.

The class reps at Cramond have been reporting back ideas to finalise our Golden School Values and our School Golden Rules. We are keen to hear your views. Please email Mrs Donaldson your thoughts, suggestions and opinions. Poor behaviour will mean we lose golden time in 5 minute slots. This is tracked by teachers.
We use our School App to host important documents, share NEWS & EVENTS. The school website is regularly updated and has details of upcoming events along with our TWITTER feed. We use GROUPCALL as an electronic mailing system - it only sends to one email address - it will eventually be replaced by School App.
Miss Barr leads on HWB at Cramond. Mr Fraser leads on PE, they jointly, along with Mattie in active schools and our Pupil sports council, lead on Cramond sports, clubs & activities. More information will be added to both our school website & app soon. Staff at certain year groups will be in touch with you regarding particular topics and are happy to share teaching resources & discuss any worries you may have.
Our PLACE (Play Landscape Active Children's Experience) is designed to promote and support individual and group play with real opportunity for mixed age/ ability / gender play. Our extensive school grounds are used out with school day by the local community and within school day for rich learning opportunities in class time.
At Cramond Homework has been renamed homelearning. Weekly and monthly tasks are set with a balance between core must do tasks and a choice from a range of others. Our Homelearning walls will now be shared on this new website. Homelearning allows children to share learning with their parents and helps promote positive partnerships between school and home.
