Wootton & Dry Sandford Pre School
We are a small Pre-School serving Wootton, Dry Sandford and surrounding villages, providing a safe, caring and stimulating environment for young children aged between two and school age. The Pre-School has a long history serving our villages and surrounding areas, we are proud to have celebrated our 50th birthday in 2016 having opened in 1966. Our staff are friendly and caring and are NVQ3 qualified. We can take up to a maximum of 26 children in our central location at the Wootton and Dry Sandford Community Centre.
Services
We are a group where children will have the opportunity to learn and develop at their own pace, where equal chances are given to all in a safe, stimulating and happy environment with a minimum of three trained staff. We actively encourage parents to become valued members of the group and welcome new ideas and skills that you may bring with you.
We pride ourselves in providing a wide range of indoor activities, varied completely from day to day, as we find this is the best way to provide a stimulating environment. Our outdoor area is available to the children throughout Pre-School opening hours and children are encouraged to enjoy the sandpit, mud kitchen, climbing hill, playhouse, balancing poles and gardening on offer.
We regularly take the children to the park which is a few metres away from the Pre-School to provide added variety in climbing and balancing. We also use the trails in the woods behind the Community Centre playing field for our Forest School activities. We organise trips to the shops with the children and go to the nearby church at St Peter's, Wootton for our nativity play.
Wootton & Dry Sandford Pre-School is a voluntary charitable organisation managed by parents with staff support. The parents elect a management committee responsible for the running of the Pre-School. The committee is tasked with activities such as employing the staff, financial planning and fundraising for the Pre-School.
We also ask for a small contribution of 7.00 per term to go towards healthy and varied daily snacks which are provided for your child. Children will receive their 15 hours of government funding the term after their third birthday.

If you need more than 15 hours of childcare, or if you choose to spend or split your funded hours with a different nursery or Pre-School, you will need to pay for the hours as listed above and will be invoiced at the start of each half term.We have places for two year olds who are government funded - please ask for more details.
