Longworth preschool is a small, thriving, rural preschool with a friendly atmosphere for children aged 2 years and upwards, until they start their journey at school. We are a registered charity managed by a voluntary committee of parents. We open Monday - Friday 9am - 3pm, following Oxfordshire County Council term dates.
We have availability for 2 year funded, 15 hour funding and 30 hour funded children, with extra fee paying sessions also available. The preschool is situated in the village of Longworth, between Witney and Abingdon. We work very closely with Longworth Primary School and are proud to be an established Partnership Foundation Stage Unit.

Services
During free play we plan engaging activities based around our topics and the children's interests. During circle time we do a range of activities including story sacks, singing songs or a turn taking activity. MUSIC - encourages children to listen attentively in a range of situations. To listen to stories, anticipating key events and respond to what they hear with relevant comments, questions or actions.
Should you want to start only when 15 or 30 hour funding is available, your space will start the term after they have turned 3 years old (January, April or September). Termly donation of household items to help with the children's self care gratefully received. Suggested items to donate include tissues, wipes, dish and hand washing soap and similar.
They may not have the biggest or most modern of facilities but they more than make up for that with the care they give and the quality of the staff. Our Twins started the day after their 2nd birthday with Longworth Preschool up until starting primary school. We can not recommend the preschool enough, a fun and safe learning environment in which our children really enjoyed and were sad to leave.
