During the ongoing pandemic we will continue with telephone triage for all appointment requests; booking of routine appointments remains suspended. If you need to speak to a GP please telephone any day before 11am and leave your details with the receptionist. Please note the number of telephone appointments we offer is capped each day depending on the number of GPs.
If all telephone appointments have been allocated you will be asked to ring back the following day except in the case of a medical emergency. The surgery doors will remain closed; only patients invited to attend will be allowed access. If you have a hospital letter to deliver to the surgery please use the postbox at the front door.

Services
To make an appointment with a Doctor or Nurse, call at reception or telephone the surgery. If the Doctor of your choice is not available, you can be offered an appointment with one of the other doctors. Appointments are usually 10 minute duration and for one person only. The Practice operates an open surgery every morning, these appointments must be pre booked, from 8.30am each day.
Cervical Smear Clinic: usually held on the 3rd Saturday of the Month (check noticeboard on home page for dates). You can also book an appointment with the Nurse. The Practice offers a full range of Contraceptive Services, including Emergency Contraception, Coil Fitting and Implanon insertion. Please speak to a nurse to arrange a consultation.
The doctors welcome new patients who live within our practice area. These fact sheets have been written to explain the role of UK health services, the National Health Service (NHS), to newly-arrived individuals seeking asylum. They cover issues such as the role of GPs, their function as gatekeepers to the health services, how to register and how to access emergency services.
You do not require a doctor's sickness certificate for any illness lasting seven days or less. If you are sick for more than seven days, your employer can ask you to give them some form of medical evidence to support payment of SSP (statutory sick pay). If you're sick and off work for more than seven days, your employer will probably ask for proof of your illness.
Get a medical certificate from your GP or hospital doctor (this is necessary to register the death). If the death has been reported to the coroner (or Procurator Fiscal in Scotland) they must give permission before registering the death. You can register the death if you are a relative, a witness to the death, a hospital administrator or the person making the arrangements with the funeral directors.

You ring at 8.30am to ask for a call back that day, for my husband on 3 occasions he doesn't receive a call back from any doctor. Yesterday he was told that Today a doctor would ring to speak about his medication but rang at 5 to ask what time should he be expecting this call back and reception told him the doctor was away home. Lovely! A certain doctor he has spoke to a few times on the phone but has never met my husband, continues to reduce his pain relief with out even consulting him about it. Not even an appointment to get him down for a check up to see if this is OK to do. DISGRACEFUL!! Now

Great doctors, but front off desk have been to a strange charm school. Today I stood with others on the pavement with the practice door shut. A notice said ,baby clinic cancelled today, fair enough. Nothing to say surgery cancelled. About 10 people including 2 people in their 80s stood for about 20 minutes no one came to the door there was no notices. The car park was full of staff cars. I noticed ,through the window one member of staff coming down the stairs She cud not have missed the crowd. Only because one person went into the next door chemist and was told they’re not opening I might still

Busy practice but if you get on the phone before 9am most days you will get booked in for an extra appointment the same day that a lot of surgeries don't offer. Only thing is you won't get a choice of doctor you wish to see. Appointments for nurse for things such as blood tests you don't generally have a long wait for a scheduled appointment. But booking a specific appointment with a doctor of your choice might mean a long wait.

No option to give this practice zero, unsure of the reception staff which I'm sure are probably the best part of the surgery, but Dr Leevy needs to be ashamed of himself, bullying a young girl, new patient, who was in extreme pain because of a back injury, caused at work BTW, on diff pain killers and anti depressants, took her off them all cold turkey, which is the worst thing for any Dr to do and all doctors would not do this, except him, she is the most amazing person, big complaint on its way to the medical board from many people because of this

The doctors are very friendly but the staff at the front desk are very rude and have very little people skills. They now have a large glass barrier separating them from patients. It doesn't surprise me that people could get angry at them. Yet if they had just a more pleasant disposition people wouldn't get angry at them. Overall good doctors but bad administration staff.
