Our Doctors and Nurses provide NHS clinics and services to almost 3000 registered patients. We also provide a range of private clinics and services available to registered patients and the general public. We are a teaching practice linked to Queen's University Belfast School of Medicine and the Physician Associate Studies Programme at the University of Ulster.

We are currently accepting new patients - so if you are looking for a GP and live within our practice boundary then you are free to register with the practice. For private services including appointments, medicals, Driver Medicals NI and Bangor Travel Clinic there is no need to register - call 028 91 455 000 to make an appointment.
Services
Please note that the practice is closed from 18.00 each evening until 08.30 the following morning and closed on weekends, bank and public holidays. If you need to contact a doctor in an emergency during the out-of-hours period please phone the North Down and Ards GP out-of-hours service (NDADOC) on 028 9182 2344.
Routine doctors' appointments can be booked up to 4 weeks in advance. The reason routine appointments are not available to book further in advance is that more people do not attend (DNA) when we allow booking further in advance and this deprives other patients of appointments. Appointments to see the practice nurse or healthcare assistant are pre-bookable up to 4 weeks in advance.
Please help us by ensuring any specimens you are requested to provide are given in the correct container and are labelled. Failure to do so will mean the laboratory cannot process your specimen. Specimens must be brought in before 11.30 due to lab collection times. The doctors review all test results and record a message for the patient.
We receive lots of flyers, posters and information at the Practice but there just isn't space to display it all so we have decided to create this virtual noticeboard which also means our patients can access this information without having to come to the Practice. We have also tried to sort the information alphabetically to help you find what you need.
You can book appointments, order repeat prescriptions and change your contact information online or on your mobile phone. The registration is simple - but for security we will need you to come into the Surgery with some proof of ID before we give you a PIN and access ID. Acceptable ID is a photo driving licence or a passport.

Four times I've called. Got through finally. No matter how desperate you are, they are too busy! I don't want to have to justify why I need an appointment. Told doctor was busy and I should call the after hours service instead. After surgery shut. I did. The doctor on call said that this was unethical and bad practice.

Exceptionally rude staff on the front desk, sniggering and not passing on phone calls. Negligence on Dr kinnears part by writing biased reports resulting in a patient's partner escaping domestic abuse dispite her reporting psychiatric problems with her husband.

Lovely practice. I moved to the area 2 years ago and have in that time had cause to bring both my small children and myself to the practice for medical assistance. The office staff and practice manager are helpful, polite and friendly. The medical team are knowledgeable and supportive for any matter and patients are made to feel “listened to” and cared for whenever they call. Would not hesitate to get in touch with them if needed, confident in the knowledge that my health is in good hands.

I have to say, this surgery has been great even during the coronavirus pandemic. I had moved from a different practice and was obviously a bit wary as they didnt know me but I've been in several times for blood tests and the staff and doctors have been fabulous. They have accommodated me in every way. The doctor is so lovely and doesnt make me feel like I am wasting time, instead, he is thorough, professional and courteous.

This place is ridiculous. The receptionists are quite rude, it's impossible to get an appointment and I've been told to call back in two weeks even when I needed urgent attention! Very poor.
However Dr Kinnear is lovely. He's competent, professional and doing his best in a terrible situation

Had a DLM1 medical for an HGV licence carried out here. Found them to be very accommodating and helpful and they were able to see me on the same day I phoned for an appointment. The receptionist was very friendly and the doctor was obviously experienced in completing these medicals. Great service aĺl round!

Fantastic care from Dr Kinnear for my family member. He went above and beyond the call of duty to help. Much appreciated!
