We are a small, friendly pre-school providing a happy, safe, caring environment that is stimulating and challenging for children aged 2 to 5. We are passionate about the quality pre-school care and education we offer, and in providing the very best start for all our children. Our spacious building in the grounds of Pannal Primary School is surrounded by fields and woodland and is the perfect setting for all our learning and play.
Children can choose from lots of different activities each day including painting, stories, building, role-play, baking, gardening and singing. We are also fortunate to have a fantastic outdoor area where we have fun every day. We are a non-profit making organisation and registered charity (No. 1035749).

Services
We have been welcoming children from Pannal, Harrogate and the surrounding areas of West Yorkshire and North Yorkshire for over 24 years. We are an independent Pre-School, based in the grounds of Pannal Primary School in Pannal village. Many, although not all, of our children go on to attend Pannal Primary School and so start school with the friends they've made at Busy Bees.
It is our ethos to allow children to learn at their own pace through play, whilst adhering to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum for 0-5 year olds. Play is an essential part of early childhood, and learning comes through experimenting and exploring the world around us. Most children play spontaneously, and it is through play that they develop intellectually, creatively, physically, socially and emotionally.
Our large schoolroom is carefully planned out to be inviting and to ignite curiosity, creativity and collaborative free-flow play. Resources and equipment are easily accessible for children to independently choose, interact with and explore. Play choices change daily and include water, sand, paint, play dough, books, role play, home corner, mark-making, construction, computer, small world play and music.
Our fees are currently charged at 5.00 per hour for 2 year old children and 4.85 per hour for children over 3 years. Fees are invoiced monthly in arrears and payment is due by the final session of each month. My youngest daughter attends Busy Bees and my older daughter attended before primary school. They both have loved their time there. The staff are friendly and kind and are patient with the little ones. They keep the children busy with activities such as sand and water play, painting, puzzles, stories and lots of other activities as well as bear hunts and nature walks in the adjoining woods! Outdoors there is a play area with digging and planting, ride-on toys and other activities. Busy Bees is a charitable organisation so fees are the most reasonable in the area and any profits/fundraising money

My youngest of three, Daisy currently attends Busy Bees and I know from first-hand experience what a wonderful place it is.
The staff do an absolutely amazing job in looking after and teaching all of the children that attend. They make playtime enjoyable and productive preparing them for the next stage of primary school!
