Services
At Oatlands Pre-school, we offer inclusive, enriching and exciting opportunities in a nurturing and sensitive environment, where each child is valued and encouraged to have fun and be happy, whilst learning new skills. Our qualified and passionate practitioners ensure that each day is packed with exciting and motivating learning opportunities.
I am Mrs Steel and I am the Pre-school Manager. I have worked in early years since 1996 and I hold a CACHE Certificate in Child Care and Education, a Level 3 Early Years Qualification and a Level 3 Diploma in First Line Business Management. I love working in the early years sector, helping the children to settle in and become confident and happy learners as they transition to school and beyond.
Pre-schools are managed in a partnership between the staff and the committee. The Pre-school Committee is responsible for the overall management and smooth running of Pre-school. This can mean anything from organising a summer fundraising event to negotiating with a landlord over the terms of a lease or setting up a mortgage.
At Oatlands Pre-school we are passionate and dedicated to working together with the parents of the children who attend our setting, making them central to all that we do here.
The EYFS term 'Partnership with Parents' is a means of recognising parents as the most enduring educators of their children and making them the focal source of information, alongside their children, to help us provide the best possible care and education for each and every child attending our setting.Working together means that we look towards sharing together every milestone; big or small.

As a charity we place great value on our strong local, community partnerships forged over time with individuals, organisations and businesses from our local community who help support our Pre-school. They do this by offering their time and expertise, their services and goods and by raising funds and offering donations for sale or auction at our various events throughout the year.

Oatlands Preschool is simply amazing! I would recommend it to everyone. Every teacher is just so caring, helpful, hard working, approachable and adore the children like their own need I say more. The activities, teaching and fun they do sets the best possible path for education. My little girl wanted to go everyday she loved it that much and made the best friends. I can not wait for my next child to start because I will miss everyone

It’s very simple to illustrate how much our son loved Oatlands Pre-School. On his first day he was holding onto my leg not wanting to go in, when we came to pick him up, he was holding onto the door not wanting to leave. Oatlands fully prepared him for big school, where he is flourishing. Thanks Charlotte and team.
