Occold Primary School
Our small size and close links with the community means that all the staff know each and every child and their family very well. This gives us the unique opportunity to create highly personalised learning experiences for our children and provide a nurturing environment that recognises individual circumstances.

Every family is different and each has their own challenges. We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website and that you find the information that you are looking for. Please feel free to contact the school directly with any queries you may have - we would be delighted to show you around.
Services
Occold Primary School is situated in the village of Occold mid way between the towns of Eye and Debenham in an attractive part of High Suffolk. There is little new build within the village boundaries and some of our children live outside the catchment area. The school is a co-educational day school taking pupils from the villages of Occold, Bedingfield, and part of Kenton.
We feel privileged to be leading such a dedicated and talented staff. Our whole team is committed to fostering a happy, lively and challenging environment, where children feel secure and are able to develop their full potential, taking their first steps towards becoming competent and caring adults.
At Occold Primary School we are committed to developing the whole child so that they have high self-esteem and are happy, confident and enthusiastic learners. We wish to promote a sense of high academic expectations which also includes creating a lifelong love for learning and fostering curiosity.
The care and well-being of all children, staff and visitors at Occold is our highest priority. Whilst this does include duties such as making safeguarding referrals, keeping children safe is part of a wider school ethos which includes equipping children with the skills to become responsible citizens.
The Governors are an integral part of the running of our school. They provide challenge, support, expertise, encouragement and critical friendship throughout the year. Meetings of the whole governing body are held twice termly in school and various working groups and committees meet at other times.
