From the first moment that I visited Robert Kett Primary School I was hooked! This is a school with an extraordinary charm and an ethos which holds the children at its heart. We are lucky to have a highly-skilled, committed team who strive for the upmost success for our children and who have a caring and supportive ethos at their core.
Robert Kett Primary School is undoubtedly a unique school and I feel privileged to be leading us forward. It is my aim to build on the secure foundations and current achievements ensuring that our school is forward thinking and ambitious within a supportive and safe environment. I fully appreciate how important each year of a child's school life is towards preparing them for life.

Services
At Robert Kett Primary, we believe the study of history is useful for children to develop into well-rounded global citizens. As well as finding out about the past and how it has shaped the present day, children will develop skills of questioning, enquiry, deduction, analysis, evaluation and inference.
This inevitably meant that many children have gaps in their knowledge from the previous year group when they returned in September. At Robert Kett, we have constructed a 'catch-up' plan to ensure children catch up on any lost learning time and potential gaps in knowledge. This plan will focus on quality first teaching, classroom intervention, small group targeted support with the child's health and well-being at the centre of all we do.
Extra Time is Robert Kett's Breakfast and After School Club, offering parents an extended school day but we also run during the school holidays, offering parents a fun childcare option! Our Breakfast Club opens at 7.30am, offering a great breakfast, as well as a chance to play. Our After School Club operates from the end of the school day until 6pm.
The term financial benchmarking is used to describe the comparison of expenditure or income, under particular budget headings, of similar schools. Use of the data can contribute towards improving the effective use of the schools financial resources. Resources should always be applied to best effect and benchmarking will allow schools to assess how close they are to achieving this.
Here at Robert Kett, the governors are very proud of our children, families and staff who all work as a team to make sure we are putting our children at the centre of what we do. We are grateful to be in such a supportive community and have strong links to local organisations that help our school too.
