Preston Primary CE School works very closely with Saxlingham Nethergate CE Primary School and together they form the Tas Valley Church Schools Federation. Both schools are proud of their Church School status and have Christian values at the core of everything they do. As the headteacher of both schools, I am proud to lead schools that know and value every child as an individual, are ambitious in enabling each child to achieve well and believe in providing opportunities for everyone to shine!
I am privileged to work with children who are friendly, well behaved and eager to learn; with staff and governors who are wholly committed to their roles and with a very supportive body of parents who rightly want the best for their children.

Services
Recognising its historic foundation, the school will preserve and develop its religious character in accordance with the principles of the Church of England and in partnership with the Church at parish and diocesan level. The school aims to serve Tasburgh and the surrounding area by providing education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice.
It was named Henry Preston First School after the rector who built the first school for the children of Tasburgh in 1844. In 1997, the school became a primary school and the name was shortened to Preston CE Primary School. The two schools share a governing body and a headteacher and continue to work together to achieve the best offer for all children in the federation.
The officers of the council are children in Year 6. Those children who would like to be considered for these posts make speeches to a whole school gathering and every child in the school is then able to cast a vote. The council meets at least once every half term, but there are extra meetings when the council is particularly busy organising an event or putting a plan together.
We believe that effective learning takes place when children are engaged and excited by the curriculum, when the subject matter is placed in an interesting and relevant context and when resources are chosen for their impact. We recognise the importance of visits and visitors in enriching learning and we seek to provide experiences that are memorable for our children.
Visits to our school are welcomed. Please telephone the school office on 01508 470454 in order to arrange a time for you to look at our school and, if you wish, to talk to the Headteacher about what the school has to offer. Admissions to Preston CE Primary School are managed by Norfolk County Council.
