Carleton Rode Church Of England Voluntary Aided Primary School
We are a friendly, three class Church of England primary school in the village of Carleton Rode. Our children are aged from 4 to 11 years and come from a wide surrounding area as well as from the village itself. This new, close relationship has brought many benefits to both schools.

Here and at our sister school, every child is very important to us whatever their abilities or circumstances and we pride ourselves on knowing them all well as individuals whom we feel privileged to work with. Our federation's ethos is founded on the belief that we should love our neighbour as we love ourselves and show this by treating others as we would like to be treated.
Services
Here we'll tell you about the make-up and work of the Governing Board, and how it supports the School on a day-to-day basis. Governors have a responsibility for managing the School, making sure that it is run efficiently and effectively. We set objectives, agree targets, budgets, policies and priorities.
Thank you for taking the time to find out about our school. We are a caring Christian school committed to providing our children with the best quality education in a supportive environment built on Christian values. We provide our children with an interesting, exciting and challenging curriculum and offer them a wide range of learning opportunities within class, our excellent outdoor facilities and through a wide range of educational visits.
Each week our class teachers nominate a child from each class whom they think has gone above and beyond the usual helpfulness and kindness expected of them, as their class SUPERSTAR. There is also a sports and a lunchtime SUPERSTAR. This is public recognition of excellent behaviour. A photograph of each child and details of their achievement is displayed in the entrance hall for everyone to appreciate.
3. Overseeing the financial performance of the schools and making sure the money is well spent. The Governing Board of Carleton Rode and Forncett St. Peter CEVA Primary Federation consists of 14 members: 1 Bishop's Representative, 7 Foundation Governors, the Executive Head Teacher, 1 elected Staff Governor, 1 Local Authority Governor, 2 elected Parent Governors and a Co-opted Governor.
This partnership had already ensured that our children received the best possible teaching and educational opportunities. In order to continue receiving such benefits and also, to secure the future of both schools, the staff and governors decided to strengthen this arrangement by federating. This meant the governing body of each school came together to form one governing board.
