Our optometrists will provide a comprehensive eye exam to assess visual performance and eye health. Our practices are equipped with some of the latest state-of-the-art technology including fundus imaging and OCT scanning to detect and monitor visual abnormalities. Regular eye examinations are important for all age's vision and health care. Exams are usually every two years although for youngsters' or some eye conditions more frequent examinations may be advised. Eye exams can help to identify conditions such as glaucoma and diabetes at an early stage allowing them to be effectively treated.
The needs and wearing habits of contact lens wearers are as different as the wearers themselves. Contact lenses have seen further technological advances over the past ten years, and these days it is possible to fit monthly and daily lenses as an alternative to spectacles to most prescriptions, including patients with astigmatism and bifocal/ vari-focal users.

Awful experience!
I needed new lenses in my glasses so E & K recommended I have 2 back to back appts: one for a prescription check and one to discuss lens options. They sent an appt reminder and I arrived for my appt at the time they sent. When I arrived they said I had missed my first appt, but then agreed that it was the fault of their reminder system which had not included the first appt time. They said I had to return another day as I had missed it. I wasn't happy about this as I had taken time off work and paid for parking to get there. After some discussion, they squeezed my appt in, but

Amazing service from the staff at E&K, really could not fault the service! I’d never been before but was recommended them by a friend after she’d purchased new specs. All the staff were so helpful from the moment I booked my appointment. I hadn’t had a sight test in years and felt as though Mr Killpartrick really took the time to explain the details of the health of my eye and my prescription. As a first-time spec wearer I had no idea which frames to pick (and there was a great selection!) but Anna helped me to get the right shape and colour for my face shape and I’m really happy with them

Couldnt have asked for a better experience even though i was a little late! Annas knowledge about the brands was second to non and her guidance as to the cycling glasses i needed and a pair of normal glasses was great - had to get her point of view on the glasses as i could have been there all day looking through - quite indecisive, so she was very helpful.
Will return back next time I need some new specs / sunglasses :)

Very, very knowledgeable opticians far more thorough than going to a chain. Also with an amazing range of glass's to choose from.
I went having been told by another optician part of a big chain that I needed to spend a fortune changing my lenses and glass's. Ellis and Killpartrick made it clear this was not the case and saved me a small fortune.
They have years of experience and could not be better.
