Delabole Community Primary School
Delabole Primary is a small school, located between ancient moorland and the rugged coastline of beautiful North Cornwall. The listed building is of historic interest and its north Cornish heritage is reflected in its construction. Community is written into every fibre of our school and we are fiercely proud of its strong identity.

This is a working place where local children often follow in the footsteps of their parents and grandparents as they journey through our school. We are very aware of our role as custodians, not only of this precious building, but also of generations of children who understand what it is to truly 'belong' here.
Services
As Senior Head of School at Delabole Primary School, I feel proud and privileged to share with you some of the unique characteristics of our learning community. Alongside, Mr James Pritchard - Head of School - I have brought together a dedicated staff who are aspirational for themselves as educators, and for our children.
Delabole Community Primary School is proud to be member of The Aspire Academy Trust. The Trust comprises a group of Cornish primary academies. We have joined together in a unique and exciting partnership that will ensure better provision, richer resources, and higher standards for our pupils. The Trust is focused on continuous school improvement and removing any obstacles that distract from this goal.
At Delabole Community Primary School we are firm believers that the Foundation Stage is a vital but exciting time for children. It quite literally builds their educational platform giving stability to all learning that follows. During this time, children develop quickly and we want to make sure they have the best start to their school life with us.
Our school building sits at the heart of our community and is a truly iconic Grade 2 Listed 'school house' which has undergone quite a transformation over the past two years, having had a long and varied history. The school was opened in 1879. It was built in an early Gothic Style, comprising a central block with wings and a turret with an open octagonal belfry, surmounted by a spire.
Our Eco Councillors want to inspire and encourage all members of our school and local community to be more eco-friendly. The children were nominated based on their speeches and passion about making a positive contribution to our planet. Our Eco council meets regularly to discuss ways of making our school a more eco-friendly place and address ways in which we can make a positive impact on our environment - now and for future generations.
