It is my pleasure and privilege to be Head of such a happy school and nursery. Our dedicated staff have the highest aspirations for all our children and are committed to nurturing and developing children's learning. We believe that every child is entitled to a rich and inspiring education that will nurture them as well-rounded individuals with the confidence, the ability and the desire to make the world a better place.

If you would like to know more about our school or arrange a visit then please call us and make an appointment with Miss Saunders. Wishing everyone a fabulous and safe summer! Best wishes to our year six graduates - have lots of fun this summer and enjoy your new adventure! From all the staff at Probus School.
Services
The Trust comprises a group of Cornish primary schools who have joined together in a unique and exciting partnership that will ensure better provision, richer resources and higher standards for our pupils. The Trust is focused on continuous school improvement and removing any obstacles that distract from this goal.
KS1 children arrive at school via the side gate at the top of Cullen View and enter via the side door by the library at 8.45am (our Reception children have their own front door!). For KS2 staff and children from Kids Club use the playground from 8.30am so there is adult supervision for this space from this time onwards.
Last year the grandmother of 3 children in our school donated a beautiful book to the school called 'The Lost Words', written by Robert Macfarlane and illustrated by Jackie Morris. It is a bestselling book celebrating the disappearing words of nature from acorn to willow, bluebell to raven. Macfarlane and Morris have created a 'spellbook' to conjure back these lost words.
It was a life time experience! First, the unveiling of the new War memorial with a few speeches and the painted poppy rocks set in stone - amazing! Then, we marched to Wagg Lane, leading the parade. When we got to the house there was a recorded reading read by some of our children and then a soldier slowly walked out with a red light and disappeared into the crowds.
We have invested in the Cornerstones curriculum in order to give a consistency of approach to learning in all classes through 4 distinct learning phases. Every Imaginative Learning Project is organised around activities planned to Engage, Develop, Innovate and Express children's newly acquired knowledge, skills and understanding.
