We hope that you enjoy exploring our website and learning about some of the fantastic things that we do here. At Penpol, we know that every child is different. We celebrate this in our engaging creative curriculum, our varied extended provision and in rigorous challenge at each stage of every lesson.
We strive to embed our learning in rich and vibrant contexts, giving real purpose to children's lessons and making meaningful connections between subject areas. Outdoor and active learning is highly valued and we are committed to supporting our children to be outward facing: locally, nationally and internationally.

Services
Penpol School is situated in the historical town of Hayle, in South West Cornwall, close to St. Ives. This expanding area is undergoing a regeneration of the harbour and the estuary. The local environment provides a wealth of natural beauty, including three miles of golden sands and wildlife reserves.
Here you will find links to useful sites, suggestions for additional home learning and our recent virtual assemblies. If you are self-isolating, your teacher will support you each day via Showbie or Tapestry. Children will be provided with two main challenges each day. These challenges will be uploaded by class teachers to Showbie (KS1 and KS2) or Tapestry (EYFS) by 9.30am.
Parents must apply online to Cornwall Council for a school place for their child and places are allocated by Cornwall Council, according to criteria set out in the admissions policy. This includes whether you live in the school's designated area and whether there are siblings at the school. The Cornwall admissions authority will then contact you to let you know if your application has been successful.
The PFA (Penpol Friends Association) is a registered fundraising charity for Penpol School. We are a group of parents, carers and teachers who work voluntarily and tirelessly to raise extra funds for our school.
Over the years, the PFA has organised various events, which have contributed towards items like new play equipment for the infants, a trim trail on the school field, a 3D printer, stage lighting, microphones and costumes for our school plays, Year 6 leavers gifts, Santa's gifts for the children, a cooker for cookery club, kit for our football team and many more things throughout the school.
