Halwin School is a warm, caring and community-centred school where each and every member of our school community works hard to achieve their very best academically, physically, socially, morally and spiritually. At Halwin we hope to nurture, in our children, a sense of responsibility, tolerance and respect for others.
By providing a stimulating environment and challenging opportunities, we encourage them to become self-motivated, resilient and independent learners. Halwin School is an exciting place to be, with a range of opportunities to inspire and experience. It is a place where children enjoy learning and are able to thrive whatever their ability.

Mr Lawrence is the Executive Headteacher of Halwin and the Deputy CEO of the Southerly Point Co-operative Multi Academy Trust and shares his time between both settings. Mrs Laundon is a Teaching Assistant and an Early Years specialist - we welcomed her back to Halwin after completing her EYFS professional training.
We actively promote our caring ethos to which everyone positively contributes and in which self-esteem flourishes. We provide a welcoming, safe and happy school where everyone is respected and listened to. We strive to promote positive British values by being an integral part of our local, national and international communities.
In Robins' Class we love finding out about new things, making the most of the outdoors, creating and exploring. We talk a lot about things we already know and find ways to learn a little bit more. We become proud of our achievements especially when we do things for ourselves for the first time. Our morning with Daya was a fantastic experience.
Mrs Vicky Tamblin (Associate Governor) teaching in EYFS/Y1, Vicky ensures that we have an understanding of the needs of our youngest children. Governors can be contacted through the school address and through termly Parent/Governor Forums. School Governors :The Governing Body meets once a term to discuss all matters relating to the life of the school.
At Halwin School the health and safety of our children is of paramount importance. Children should feel safe at school, without this they will be unable to learn or develop as learners. Parents send their children to school in the full expectation that they will be safe and secure in an environment that positively promotes their health and well-being.
